Weeks ago I could record a very rare medium wave reception in my logbook: KSL Newsradio from Salt Lake City in Utah could be heard on 1160 kHz in Salzburg. Probably one of the first signals from Utah in Central Europe, I couldn’t find any earlier logs. The transmitter from the western state of the USA confirmed the reception to me yesterday, so I have now heard 39th US states here in Salzburg on medium wave and also confirmed by the stations.
Broadcast of the transmitter NRK Ingoy near the North Cape on the long wave 153 kHz ends on December 1st shortly after 23.06 UT. The signal from Norway recorded in Salzburg is the weak line on the left to the strong signal from Romania.
